Jackson Overton has signed a letter of intent to run track with the Freed-Hardeman Lions for the next school year. Overton is pictured with his parents, Lee and Elizabeth Overton, sister Maggie Jenkins and nephew Cooper Jenkins.  Representing Freed-Hardeman is Delaney Steward, Regional Admissions Director. Jackson is also joined by Coach Steve Ray and MCHS Principal Dr. Jerry Pyron. Jackson served as football quarterback for the past two years, and joined the track team this year. 

Jackson's favorite track memory was at USJ, where he placed 5th in his very first meet.  He decided to run track because Coach Johnathan (Williams) "told me I needed to."  He plans to major in business or marketing, but is undecided on a career path.
