The Food Connection is a privately-owned television network that airs daily shows. The Food Connection's mission is to televise a variety of "new marketing campaign, food and cooking" themed shows that will appeal to food lovers of all ages. As part of its new marketing campaign, The Food Connection ran a national contest to promote and attract young entrepreneurs. The campaign included a nationwide "Start Your Own Restaurant" contest. To enter the contest, The Food Connection required contestants to be enrolled in high school. Contestants were required to "pitch" a new restaurant idea that included a creative name, a description of their restaurant, and the name of the restaurant "signature dish."
Knowing that the top 25 finalists would receive the start-up financing to open a new restaurant, you decided to submit your proposal. Out of the thousands of entries received, The Food Connection selected your restaurant as one of the finalists. Ms. Lisa Forsythe, CEO of Food Connection Network is happy to work with you to make your restaurant dreams come true!

You will also learn to integrate the Google Calendar to help keep you organized. Create a new Google Calendar called "The Restaurant" and share it to the email address mchs@mcnairy.org. Any time you see this green background, it will be a reminder of something to add to your calendar.
After you've shared your calendar to me, I will add the assignments and when they are due. Assignments are due by 3:00 on the date given. An assignment finished at 3:01 is late. If an assignment is not in the folder by the assigned time, a zero will be entered for that assignment and cannot be made up. If you complete an assignment after the deadline that you want to be graded, you will need to send an email to me with the number of the project in the subject line. Ten points PER DAY will be deducted for late assignments.

Google Calendar Now that you're ready to get started with your restaurant, you need to schedule a meeting with the Food Connection CEO, Ms. Forsythe. After talking with her secretary, you learn she has an opening on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 am. You accept the appointment, so you need to put it in your calendar. It wouldn't do to forget about the meeting with the person making your dreams come true! |
