SENIORS - View the Senior Calendar
  • SENIORS: If you have had driver education and have not completed the behind-the-wheel training, you need to see Coach Roten asap. We will not drive seniors after this semester! See Coach Roten soon if you want to drive.
  • Senior picture balances are posted on the door outside D20. The following students need to pick up their pictures and/or pay their balances: Cameron Adkison, Glenda Alexander, Malerie Austin, Amanda Bishop, Briana Brakhage, Cody Butler, Cameron Dabbs, Jordan Dickey, J.C.   • Hall of Fame resumes will be due on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in Journalism. Any senior with a minimum "C" average at the end of the junior year is eligible. To be considered, students must complete a one-page resume and turn in by 3:00 on the deadline. For more information, see the guidelines here or pick up sheets outside Guidance.

  • DRIVERS THIS WEEK: 
  • PICK UP PICTURES IN JOURNALISM:  Ray Reed
  • The 2008-09 yearbook, Take Note, will be on sale Friday, Sept. 12 and again Oct. 9-10. These will be the only sale dates for the year, so make plans now to reserve your copy. Full price is $60; a $30 deposit must be paid at the time of order.
  • Arts in McNairy and UT Martin-Selmer are sponsoring their annual Amateur Photography Contest. There will be several prizes, including $25 Second Place and $50 first place in seven categories, as well as a $100 Best In Show award. For more information and entry forms, please see Mr. Souders in A5 (across from the boys locker room).
  • McNairy Central's Princess and Queen Beauty Pageant, "Roll Out the Red Carpet," will be held on Thurs. Sept. the 18th. Any 9th through 12th grade girl interested in participating needs to pick up an application outside D20. Deadline for turning in applications is Sept. 12th at 3:00. No late applications will be accepted.
  • Students, if you will be 18 years of age on or before November 4, 2008, and want to vote in this year's presidential election you must complete an application for voter registration on or before October 6, 2008. See Mr. Crayton in E-Pod for an application.
  • STUDENTS:  Journalism needs photos of your summertime activities! We're looking for photos of MCHS students on vacation, at camp, or just hanging out together. Select your best photo and either turn it in or email it to Ms. Forsythe.
  • 2008-2009 Spanish Honor Society officers are President -- Drew Wheeler, Vice President --Hannah Forsythe, Corresponding Secretary-- Alissa Nathans,
    Recording Secretary-- Daniel Hamm, Treasurer-- Kristin Brooks, Reporter-- Taylor Jones.
  • Underclass remakes will be taken on Tuesday, September 30th at 10 am. Students should sign the list outside Guidance to be scheduled for re-makes.

  • Fall sports (football, fb cheer, volleyball, and golf) pictures are due in Journalism by Friday, September 12.

  • To submit announcements for The Daily PawPrint, please use the "submit news" link on the school website. Announcements are posted by the time the first tone sounds each morning, so they must be received by 7:45.
