The MCHS Teacher of the Year for 2022-23 is Mrs. Amanda Isbell.
Isbell currently teaches Algebra I Honors, Geometry Honors, and Math Intervention, but has also taught Algebra I & II. She is a 2003 graduate of McNairy Central, and has been teaching for 16 years at MCHS. She is married to Bobby Isbell, and they have two sons, Davis and Jonah.
"I feel honored to be selected by my peers. There are so many here that I respect, including many who taught me, so it is a great honor for them to recognize me in this way," said Isbell.

The Teaching as a Profession classes at MCHS were able to attend the "Become a Tiger, Become a Teacher Day" at the University of Memphis Lambuth campus on November 15th. It was a fun-filled day with lots of important information for our students. MCHS alumni Mekyland Williams, who is an education major at Lambuth, took a vital role in the event.
