MCHS senior Kintevius "Tata" Newsom has signed a letter of intent to play football at Bethel University this fall. Tata plans to major in Business Administration for a career in Finance and Accounting. His favorite football memory was breaking the 1,000 yard point at Chester County. Tata was unable to play his senior year due to injuries early in the pre-season, but never missed a game and was cheering so loudly on the sidelines that his classmates voted him "Most School Spirited". Tata received many scholarships and awards, including the "Ignite the Torch" Award, and the Accounting I & II Award. Pictured with Tata are his parents, Johvon and Christy McClendon, grandmother Estella Robinson, and brothers Travon and Jabari McClendon. Also pictured is MCHS Athletic Director Brian Franks, Assistant Coach Johnathan Williams, and Bethel University Vocal Director Dustin Sweatman.
