The 2016 Miss MCHS Pageant was held on Thursday, February 4. Sponsored by Future Business Leaders of America, the evening had 17 young ladies vying for a crown. FBLA President Edgard Macias opened the evening by welcoming those in attendance, and introducing Mr. MCHS, Grant Goodman, and Miss MCHS, Abbie Sweat, as emcees. Both Edgard and Grant wore tuxedos provided by Alica Hawkins of Hawk and Company.
In the Princess division, ladies must be 16 or younger, with nine students competing in this division. Winning title of Princess was sophomore Katie Allen. 1st Runner-up was Jayden Austin, and 2nd Runner-up was Breanna Howard.
In the Queen division, ten young ladies were competing for the crown. Chosen as Queen was junior Ansley Craig. 1st Runner-up was junior Taylor Parmely, and 2nd Runner-up was senior Rachel Smith.
Mrs. Chandler and the students of FBLA want to thank everyone who participated or attended the event, as this raised funds for their state competition.
